Anton (Tony) Schmidt

Bio

• Born in the former Yugoslavia and came to the U.S. shortly after the end of World War II.

• Settled in L.A. and began working as a sheet metal apprentice.  He worked on Disneyland's Rocket-to-the-Moon exhibit as well as the popular spinning teacups in Fantasyland.

• Became a partner and co-founder of Schaefer's Poultry Ranch in 1956.  Also moved his family to the City of Cherry Valley in the same year.

• In 1958 he joined the Riverside County Farm Bureau.

• Started the Cherry Valley Sheet Metal Company eventually leading to the formation of Agri-Builders.  Agr-Builders provides the state-of-the-art facilities for the egg industry and other types of buildings for agriculture and non-agriculture businesses.
