MSHCP Recommendations

Riverside County Farm Bureau submitted a series of recommendations November 21, 2000, to the County of Riverside regarding the MSHCP process. These recommendations reflect and illustrate Farm Bureau's views that the habitat planning effort must protect private property rights, involve the public, disclose the full cost of habitat planning, and balance economic and land use needs.

In four separate letters to the County of Riverside, Farm Bureau made recommendations on:

• Cost analysis and disclosure
• Critical habitat
• Public notice and involvement
• Economic and land use expertise
