Land application of livestock manure anywhere in western
Riverside County now requires registration with the Office of the Agricultural
Commissioner and compliance with County
Ordinance 427.
Ordinance 427 regulates the land application of manure.
Originally adopted in 1956 to regulate chicken and hog manure, it was
revised in 1994 to control application of cow manure in the Mira Loma
area of Supervisorial District II. Amended April 3, 2001, as Ord. 427.3,
it extended registration and regulation of land application of manure
throughout western Riverside County.
