Mechanical Requirements
Riverside County Agriculture is prepared with desktop publishing systems
and is printed by sheet-fed offset on coated white stock, by Layton Printing
of San Dimas, California. Standard colors are black, with green as a second
color on the covers.
Camera-ready original copy and photographs are
requested. No cuts or plates are used. Reductions or expansions will be made to
fit space. (All copy is subject to set-up or revision charges.)
Issuance and Closing Dates
Riverside County Agriculture is published 12 times a year.
Closing date for advertising space is the 10th of
the month prior to the month of publication. Camera-ready copy closes the 15th of
the month prior to the month of publication.
No cancellations can be accepted after the 20th
of the month preceding the month of publication for one-color ads. No cancellations
can be accepted after the 10th of the month preceding the month of publication for
four-color ads.
Discounts
The standard 15% discount is offered to recognized agencies.
Advertising rates will be discounted 10% to members of Riverside County Farm Bureau;
this discount rate is not commissionable.
Circulation
Riverside County Agriculture is mailed to all members
of Riverside County Farm Bureau under a second class, nonprofit permit.
Circulation is verified by sworn statement required by postal regulations.
Readers of Riverside County Agriculture
include farmers, ranchers, packers, suppliers, and other allied agricultural businesses.
It is the only publication exclusively serving this prime audience in all commodities
throughout Riverside County in this $1 billion-plus industry. Farm Bureau
members also include many non-farm families who support agriculture and
use services provided by affiliated companies to Farm Bureau members.
Readers of Riverside County Agriculture
are primarily located in Riverside County. Some farm owners live in other counties,
states or countries and some farmers have farm operations in other locations besides
Riverside County.
Miscellaneous Contract and Copy Requirements
The publisher will not be bound by any conditions appearing on contract forms, order
forms, or copy instructions which are at variance with the publishers
regulations and policies.
The publisher reserves the right to reject any advertising
considered objectionable for any reason, with the publisher to be the sole judge.
Riverside County Farm Bureau assumes no responsibility
for statements by advertisers or for products advertised in "Riverside County
Agriculture," nor for statements or expressions of opinion other than in editorials
or articles showing authorship by an officer, director or employee of Riverside County
Farm Bureau.

Riverside County Agriculture is a continuation of Farm Bureau News
which was established in 1946 and which was in turn a continuation of
newsletters published since the founding of Riverside County Farm Bureau
on April 18, 1917.
